剪
- scissors, cut with scissors, exterminate
Another everyday word that I haven't learnt, although I must have heard it a few times, not least when playing rock, paper, scissor. Today it is relevant because it came up in a Smart.fm dictation today, but more importantly I finally got my hair cut after about two years.
I quite like the character 剪 - it is 前 (qian) on top of a knife, 刀.
我今天去剪发了。
I went to get my hair cut today.
