传染

chuánrǎn - to infect, contagious

I've started to listen to Popup Chinese podcasts on the way to work. I started with an easy one this morning, but was disappointed that, despite being so simple, there was one sentence that I didn't understand. Turned out it was, 传染吗？ Is it contagious. So it's not that surprising that I didn't understand. The problem with the easy lesson is that even though the sentence structure is easy, some of the vocab is slightly obscure. That said, I know both the characters in 传染, so if I'd seen it written down, I might have been able to guess the meaning.

传染吗？

非常。
