- understand, find out
Victoria and I started a free trial of Skritter today. It was a great way to realise how little Chinese we could write (once we'd got beyond 我, 你, 他, 她 and 们). Hopefully after a few months of Skritter, I might learn though. I picked 了解 as my word for today out of all the possibilities, because despite it being on my iKnow (which I have also re-signed up for), I didn't believe Victoria that it started with such as simple character. Neither of us could write the second character, but we came up with a mnemonic - the cow understands that the knife we cut off its horn.
For programmers, it is important to know exactly what is happening in a program.
